Guild Bank

*Guild Bank Update*

We now have a third tab in our Guild Bank. The first two tabs are open to all guild members. The third tab is open to any officer. This includes our guild leader, any class leader, or any member ranked "officer".
Please note that the bank policy as outlined in the previous post still applies.

Please check our site regularly for updates :)

Guild Bank Policy

The Guild Bank
by Yvesan

Auroa Citadel is opening guild bank tabs as we gather guild bank gold.
To properly manage the guild bank we need to establish policies for each guild bank tab and we need to establish a policy for gold in the guildbank.
These policies will change over time, either because we learn how tobetter utilize the guild bank or because we open more guild bank tabs.

===== General Rules =====
We need general rules for the guild bank:

  1. Any item or gold deposited to the guild bank becomes the property of the guild. The contributor loses all rights to the item or gold.
  2. Any item taken from the guild bank should be for personal use.
The item can be used as an upgrade to existing armor/weapons. A trade good item can be used when leveling a profession. A trade good item can be used to make items for other guild members. Potions and food should be used for personal use.

* Please do not withdraw an item to give to a non-guild member.

* Please do not withdraw an item to sell on the AH or to vendor.

===== Guild bank gold =====
Our policy for gold deposited in the guild bank is to use the gold topurchase additional guild bank tabs. Only the guild leader shouldwithdraw gold from the guild bank. If you feel generous, please deposit gold to the guild bank.
Guild bank gold will not be used to make loans to members.

===== Guild bank tabs =====
Each guild bank tab will have a different purpose.
Each guild bank tab will have a separate policy based on that purpose. The policy needs to cover four things:

  1. What is appropriate to deposit to that tab
  2. When is it appropriate to withdraw from that tab
  3. How long should an item sit in that tab (shelf life)
  4. Security concerns
Currently, we have two guild bank tabs.

===== First guild bank tab =====
The first guild bank tab is a free for all tab.
The purpose of this guild bank tab is to allow a free exchange of items between members.
Any member will be able to deposit or withdraw from this tab.Initiates will not be able to withdraw from this tab.
The policy for the first guild bank tab is as follows:

  1. Please deposit items in this tab to share with other members.
Items deposited to this tab should not be extremely valuable. We should not fret too much if items from this tab are stolen.
Examples of items to deposit would be trade goods, green items, food, potions.
When we can afford to buy more guild bank tabs, we may ask that this tab be used for a specific type of item, perhaps trade goods and food and potions, and the additional tab be used for green items.
Please do not deposit gray items in this tab.
Ask yourself if somebody in the guild would want this item, before depositing an item.
  2. Please withdraw items from this tab for your personal use.
We request, when you withdraw an item, you make a contribution to the guild bank gold. We wish your contribution were half the price one would pay to buy the item from a vendor. We will not enforce this policy of asking for a contribution. I have no plans to match up items taken from this tab with gold deposits. It will be the honor system. You are on your honor.
  3. Shelf life for this tab is a big concern. Hopefully, members will withdraw items as fast as they deposit items so there is always slot space.
If this tab becomes full, or once every few weeks, the banker will need to go through items in this tab, to vendor or sell items on the AH, and to deposit the gold received to the guild bank.
Please make the banker's life easy by withdrawing items as fast as items are deposited. Please do not deposit items other members may not want.
  4. Security -- there is very little security for this tab.
We may be upset if items are stolen from this tab, but it should not be earth shattering.

===== Second guild bank tab =====
The second guild bank tab is restricted.
The purpose of this guild bank tab is to keep valuable items include blue and purple items and expensive trade goods and expensive patternsand formula.
The policy for the second guild bank tab is as follows:

  1. Please deposit items that are hard to come by or are expensive in this tab.
Blue and purple items should be deposited to this tab.
Rare patterns and formulae should be deposited to this tab.
Expensive trade goods should be deposited to this tab.
Expensive potions should be deposited to this tab.
  2. Only the guild leader will be able to withdraw items from this tab.
The officers discussed when withdrawing an item is appropriate.
It was suggested we should withdraw an item to give to a member as a reward.
We can withdraw an item to give to a member if doing so benefits the guild.
For example, an item may be for a specific class or profession. It will benefit our guild if a member of that class or profession has the item.
  3. Shelf life should not be an issue. We wish to keep an item in this tab until we have a good use for the item.
  4. Security -- only the guild leader can withdraw items from this tab. We will be upset, angry, if items are stolen from this tab.

The above are our policies for the guild bank.

These policies will change over time.

Small Update

Welcome to All New Members!
For those of you who are new to Auroa Citadel, welcome. Our guild has gone through some changes in the last few months and as most of you know, our Guild Leader is Fabz!

The rank structure of the guild works as follows:

Alt - any alts of a current member
Member - held the rank "initiate" for 2 weeks and on recommendation by officers
Veteran - a guild member level 60 or higher
Officer - currently our one officer is Starbaby, our guild event officer
Class Leader - as indicated below

Original Definition (by Arulaeh)

Class leaders are generally in charge of looking after all the guild members of their responsible class in the guild.Their responsibilities include:--To support and help their responsible class members to the best of their ability to become better players. This means that your Class Leader should be the go-to person if you have questions that pertain to your class. --To monitor behavior and performance of their responsible class both in and out of instances. This is meant in a constructive way, we need to help people to learn to play their classes better.

Our current Class Leaders are the following:
Paladin: Relix and Osharia
Hunter: Tygrrl
Rogue: Maggiethecat
Mage: Yvesan
Priest: Nathala, pending his acceptance :)
Druid: Torsdan
Warrior: Tbevdaman and Criar
Warlock: Dawnsblade
Shaman: Sorenna

*Please note that Class Leaders and Officers will be meeting on Sunday mornings as needed. We would like whoever is able to be there to participate at the time.

More updates to come soon!
